We Need A Little Christmas!

I am so excited for Christmas!
I really really wanted a Christmas tree.  The voice of reason (that would be Todd) informed me we would have no where to put it.  Sad day.  I told him we could scoot over the table and put the printer somewhere else... He wasn't too thrilled with my idea.  I told him we really really really needed a tree.  After much pestering from me and much disagreeing from him, about 2 weeks ago he came home with our tree. I LOVE IT!  We got some ribbon from some gift that came to our office and now our tree is complete!
Next comes the stockings of Todd and Jill, oh dear Santa fill them well :)
Saw this pattern here
loved it!  It was super easy and the stockings are AWESOME!
Our shack is officially decorated!

the best is yet to be

It appears that an update is due...

A few things have changed since I last was on here.  I'm a married lady (sometimes that is still weird to think about) and I LOVE it!  It is so fun to come home to our little shack and know that Todd is there or will be there soon.  That we get to talk and spend all the time we want together (when work doesn't go too late), curl up and go to bed together and then wake up to him right by my side.  It really is great!  It is so fun to share our ideas and come up with new ones together.  I'm excited to start a family together.
I sorta feel like we are playing house...

The Wedding

The Hardy Family and The Niemann Family
I'm so happy to be a part of both!

The Cancun Honeymoon
Cruisin' around Isla Mujeres

Chichen Itza and Tulum.
The ruins were awesome!  It was a really warm day but Todd and I had a blast touring with Heleman.
He was great.  He took us to see both places while teaching all about the ruins and the symbolism behind everything.  Way cool!  I would recommend it!

In between he took us to a Senote (sink hole) to swim in
and at the end of it all, we stopped on the side of the road to get some Mexican ice cream.  Awesome!
Needless to say, the honeymoon was a blast!  We missed out on snorkeling because I was not feeling great our last day, bummer. Cancun itself is ridiculously overpriced but we still had a great trip anyway.

Adventures since then...

Annual Hardy Lake Powell Trip
(warm water and sunshine... yes please!)
What a great weekend spent with my lovely family!  Cliff Jumping, Tubing (thanks for the sweet shiner Dallin boy), sleeping in our tent for the first time :)  I loved it.

Saint George Trip
My husband likes to run.  This is not something we share very often.  He runs for fun, I run... sometimes... to get some exercise and occasionally to clear the mind.  One day, I will run with him, hopefully for fun.  Although, it will not be a marathon, but maybe a half??
He inspires me.
Thank you to the Niemanns for a great weekend!

Happy Halloween at the (Brutus) Hardy Home
Don't we make a pretty stinking cute Jack and Jill?  I thought so.
All the costumes were pretty great,
although Jen, I have to admit, your family's costumes kicked trash!

Life is Good.

The Adventure

This was actually before Hawaii.  Todd and I went to the symphony, Also Sprach Zarathstra.  We're pretty classy people like that!

HAWAII

Day 1 - The plane ride.
Fortunately, Todd and I were on all the same flights to Hawaii and we met some really nice people who were willing to trade seats so we could sit by each other on every flight.  It was perfect!  The only thing I would change is getting a direct flight next time.  We switched planes in phoenix and also in Kauai, it made for a very long day.  When we arrived, Mom and Dad picked us up and took us to the Kahuku Grill to eat.  We were super tired from the plane so we went to bed pretty early that night.
Day 2 - Pearl Harbor
We figured Pearl Harbor is a pretty significant thing that we didn't really want to miss while we were there.  We toured the battleship, the USS Missouri, and also saw the USS Arizona memorial.
We make some pretty attractive people in our bomber hats!

Pearl Harbor is pretty much an all day thing, after we were there, we drove up the south shore back to Laie.  Hawaii is beautiful, We stopped a couple times just to see the beautiful coastline.
I like this picture of Todd :)  He looks very pensive.
Day 3 - The Beach!
Before heading to the beach, we went to Daddy Boys class to hear him teach.  He was wonderful as always.  There is something about the beach I'm drawn to. It might just be the sunshine and warm weather, but I love it!
It was also both of our first time snorkeling!   It was so awesome.
Shark's cove (where we snorkeled)  We found Nemo!

Then we went to Haliewa, to get some Matsumoto Shaved Ice.
Then we went home along North shore and stopped at Turtle Bay!

Day 4 - The Polynesian Cultural Center and Laie Temple and of course, my birthday!

This girl was awesome! She is from Micronesia and sang me happy birthday in her native tongue!  It made me happy.

This was the guy from Samoa, he was hilarious!
I think of all the Countries, Samoa and Tahiti were my favorite. Although it was kind of a long day, I had a great birthday, Hawaii and Todd on my birthday, what more could a girl want?!

Day 5 - We went back to Sharks cove for more beach time and snorkeling!
Day 6 - Swap meet and Waikiki
After the swap meet we hiked Diamond Head Crater.  The view was incredible from the top.  We then headed into Waikiki for dinner.

 Day 7 - Easter
Easter was fabulous in Hawaii.  In the morning we read the scriptures relating to the resurrection of our Savior and then headed to the temple to walk around the visitor's center before heading to church.
Day 8 - Dole Plantation and then back home.  Sad Day!
Mother and Father, we miss you terribly.  Don't worry, we'll come back to visit!

Mother, I love you and hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day.  Thank you for all you do.

Feeling Lucky

Fondue Night!

Jess, Thank you so much for having it at your house, your house is darling and I love that I finally got to actually see it.  It is always so good to see everyone! Those of you who couldn't make it we missed you lots and hopefully will get to see you at the next one!  I'm thinking May?  My house?  We'll figure it out.

Girls Night Out Activity During Priesthood

Thanks to Shannon for providing all the blocks, we all make block letters during the priesthood session of conference.  I wish I had pictures of everyones. They all turned our really cute! These ones are actually for you mother if you want them.  Shannon said you guys needed some decoration in you apartment.

Shelf Replacement
So I finally found something to cover the gaping holes in my wall.  I'm excited to put pictures in it.  The frame matches my room really well and ties my furniture, bedspread and the bookshelf all together really well... Or at least I think so.

Happy Wednesday flowers :)
I heart him!

Hawaii, 2 days away!  I couldn't be more excited!

Brand New Day

The day is new as well as other things since I last updated.

New Shoes
I needed new casual shoes and these were at Ross for like 10 bucks.  I bought them.  They are cute.

New Haircut
Jender dear, these are for you.  The good part, when I pull up my bangs like so, you can't see the awful uneven layers. Hence, I rarely (and by rarely I mean never) wear my hair straight down with my bangs.  I've also come to the conclusion that I need to stop cutting my bangs.  I do NOT look good with them.  Why on earth do I deep cutting them??  Please tell me to stop.  In lieu of this, I might go short, and yes this time I mean short like I used to every year.  It is scary but possibly necessary to cut out these layers. I'm not 100% sure on that though because I will miss curling my hair like crazy.

New ipod dock
The loveliest part about Mom and Dad being gone is that they can't redeem their RC Willey gift cards.  Needless to say, with their permission of course, I bought myself a new ipod dock.  It is fantastic!

New Bookshelf
Not really new, or mine but I really really like it.  I have this new obsession with bookshelves and wanting one really bad for 2 reasons.  1. By books and DVD's crammed into my closet take up 2 shelves that I could put shoes in so my shoes all fit, 2. Bookshelves are neat.  So, with that said, I have been looking everywhere for one.  RC Willey's were way too spendy and they didn't have a great selection and I'm too picky to buy one online when I haven't seen it, and well i'm picky in general when it comes to things.  So I was siting upstairs a couple days ago and this lovely little thing that belongs to Benny and Erika was sitting right in our dining room the whole time.  It always looked weird there but there was no where else to put it.  Solution, I have a bookshelf for the time being!
(Note to mother, what on EARTH possessed you to rehang that pink shelf after you repainted my room. It is hideous, and no longer even matched the room.  I have no positive thoughts toward that thing, except that perhaps it works to hold my willow trees. )

New stuff
Today was the Utah Dental Association Convention at the Salt Palace.  Yay for not working and getting free things.  Sitting through the lecture wasn't the greatest, but new toothbrushes, toothpaste and other random things are always awesome, especially when they are free!

I want to be a missionary now

Mikey and I had a lovely little photo shoot on Saturday afternoon.  We drove up to the Draper Temple and decided it was much to windy and cold, so we went to Draper park and then to SLC.  It was fun.  He will be a stellar missionary!  Here are some of my favorites!  Nelly, I tried to e-mail you them but they wouldn't send.  Michael has a copy of all of them on his flash drive so you can get them from him :)
