a quick fall

September and October flew by, here we are mid November and I feel like fall just started (although the freezing weather tells me otherwise).  Here are a few pictures from our October.

We met up with some friends for some fun at the Peterson Family Farm pumpkin patch.  Jonny loved to look at the pumpkins, push the wheelbarrow (or try at least to push it), play with some little trucks they had, and most of all, climb on the tractors.

A couple of scalawags having some Halloween fun

Our boys :)

Earlier in the month we took a trip to Gunnison to visit Jenny and Wade and their cute girlies. Davey and Lauryn were only born a few days apart and despite Davey being a little chunkier, he is actually the younger one... I especially like the picture where he is karate chopping Lauryn and she looks all annoyed. :)
and of course what is turning into our annual trip up to Logan for the pumpkin walk! (see here for last years trip.)  This year we got to hang out with my niece Marianne who is up there at USU. We had a really great time.  Thanks Min for spending some time with us.
Lastly here are a few pictures of my sweet boys.  I love how intently Davey just watches Jonny.  I always catch him staring at him and Jonny loves his brother equally as much.  It is pretty sweet.

Easter, my happy place and some stitches

This Easter we had our first Hardy Easter Egg hunt.  It was a lot of fun.  I think the kids had a really great time.
Jonny's first egg he found had jellybeans in it.  He opened the egg and didn't care to find anymore, he just wanted to sit and eat the jellybeans.  He is a funny boy.
All the kids enjoying their spoils.
The first weekend in May we headed down to my happy place for the Niemann annual St. George trip.  We had a great time hiking, going to the splash pad, playing in the pool, eating out, and just being together.
Here is our little water baby lounging about by the pool.
The weekend before we left for St. George Jonny was playing at my moms house and fell down her back steps.  It was super traumatic... for me.  I'm pretty sure I cried more than he did. The poor little guy had to get 7 stitches. Unfortunately, the instacare by my moms house was closed so we had to head to the ER which means those were some expensive stitches.

Here is the little guy the day after.  He seemed no worse off, just a little skittish around stairs...

recent happenings

This little munchkin melts my heart.
He loves blueberries.  They are sooo messy and stain pretty much everything but he gets so excited when I give him some.
Our little Jonny Boy is 14 months old tomorrow.  He walks like a champ, is into pretty much everything and is going to get a little brother come the end of August! :)  He says momma and dada and he will make noise at the end of a prayer like he is trying to say amen.  He makes the monkey and owl sounds and tries really hard to make the elephant sound as well.  It is adorable.  He loves the outside and we are both so ready for it to be summer already! (I don't think Todd shares our enthusiasm...)
We went to the Hogle Zoo a couple weeks ago with some friends.
Look at all these babies!
Jonny loved it!  He was so fascinated by all the animals. (and by the other kids) He especially loved riding the carousel at the end!  We rode it twice and he was bouncing up and down the whole time dancing to the music.  We are excited to go more often this summer.
 Happy pi day
and a happy St. Patty's too!

Jonny's first Christmas

Christmas was great this year.  This was Todd and My third Christmas together but the first with our munchkin!  He didn't so much get what was going on but he did enjoy the Christmas decorations.  He ended up destroying all the snowflakes in reach... But that was to be expected I guess, right?

I am so sad this picture is blurry. These boys are my favorite!
It is tradition for Santa to come to the Hales Family Christmas Party, Jonny didn't quite know what to think of this Santa.  (Which is so sad because for the santa at the mall he said "ho, ho, ho" it was adorable and one of the only times he said it for anyone but me.
We spent Christmas up in Oakley this year. It was Jason's last Christmas before his mission and the whole family was there.  Look how adorable these kids are
Jonny was a shepherd, and was more interested in the fireplace than he was in being part of the nativity scene. But what can you really expect from an almost one year old (my baby turns one in a week!)
this is our baby opening his stocking on Christmas morning. He was most excited about the food! Once again, could I expect anything different from an almost one year old?  He LOVES food!
Christmas Day we played outside.

This was Jonny's first time playing in the snow.  He um didn't quite know what to make of it.  I don't know if he even cracked a smile... Until we were back inside, then he smiled :)
Not pictured is the enormous snow cave Todd, Jason, Trevor and Peter built. It was HUGE.  I could stand up in the thing.   Unfortunately they did not get a chance to sleep in it because the 26th, Peter had to get stitches from getting too fancy on his ice skates.
I'm excited for next year when he can really get into it. We are going to get a tree and have christmas at our house next year!  It will be magical!
